Feather is a blog in which Melissa creates an outfit based on tomorrow's weather forecast. I love the idea and the outfits!

Kelly at Design Crush seems to always have the right quotes for how I am feeling.

Orla Kiely for spring

Monday bacon

A bacon covered donut might be a nice start to the week, if you don't mind a trip to the ER for chest pains on a Monday morning. Here's to hoping it's a great week!

possibly a little too much information

I might be telling something about myself that the average person might not know about my by admitting I am intrigued by this product. Does it work? Am I willing to try it? Does the deodorant part of the product suffer to minimize hair? Would you try it?!

*edited to add: is it just me or does that bottle look a bit like a personal "massager"?

Happy Friday!

I just think this photo is great.
And I am eagerly anticipating summer even though spring just started.

I am already thinking of the fun ways I could use this

a giant whiteboard in the shape of a cow?!
I think I would rather have this than a chalkboard wall, just sayin'.

Ohio didn't make the cut

I think we need to have a talk.

I feel like I am at a turning point, like I want to change my path. I want to take "the road not taken" but who even knows what that is. Two of my friends were laid off last Friday and I narrowly escaped the same fate earlier this month. While I am incredibly relieved, I am still not happy. I still don't feel any more secure than before. The latest move is just another stay of execution and I am starting to think that just getting it over with would be preferred. Now isn't the time to take risks with the economy being so unstable, is it? Shouldn't I just be happy I still have a job?
I am not sure just having a job is enough. I feel like I have always settled for what is safe, the easier path. This is not because I don't want more, but because I am so afraid to fail. I am afraid of how falling flat on my face would look to everyone else. This fear of failure isn't just in my work life but also in my personal life. I don't put my feelings out there-who wants to have that uncomfortable conversation where the other person doesn't feel the same way. I settle for less-you can look at my dating history and who I seem to be attracted to and know that, easy peasy. I don't give myself enough credit. I downplay my strengths-and self deprecating comments flow too easily out of my mouth. I accept mediocrity in others (and many times myself).
I have decided to set some goals for myself to break myself of some of these habits and hopefully break out of my rut. Some of the goals are know by my friends and some of them are just for me.

I just had to get that off my chest.

Wow! Someone needs some more botox and lip injections and is getting deperate.

Cleveland, a great place to be if you are a single man

Not only does Cleveland/Foreclosureville have at least 10,000 abandoned homes there are also more single women then men. I have an idea on how to turn Cleveland around, let's fill up those abandoned homes with single men!!!! Single, straight men with jobs get a home free.
(I know I am no longer losing my job, but I am still looking. Nothing is ever for sure. And I am thinking the West Coast is looking better and better. My Austin isn't looking so bad either.)

economics 101

I picked up this Kobo candle at Room Service this past weekend and the scent is so fresh. I can't wait to open the windows and have this scent carried throughout the house.
Danielle has some great stuff for spring in the shop. I also bought two super cute platters with birdcages that I can't find photos of online. And I am still thinking about the one doormat.

I really should put my self on a shopping hiatus. But where's the fun in that? I am trying to get the economy back on track all by my lonesome. I approved those mortgages that brought the whole market down, the least I could do to get things back on track is shop.

I am not totally sure what made me decide to train for my first 5k this summer. I don't like running, I have never liked running. I would much rather swim a mile of two then even think about running a mile. But I have decided to give myself A LOT of time to train for my first 5k but I am going to do it. I am going to start training this week.

sweatin' to the oldies

My office has been so hot this past week that I have been sweating. Sitting still at my desk, I have been sweating. This is not a pleasent feeling. Neither is the feeling I get looking at this photo. Happy Friday!

Friday bacon

Show them who brings home the bacon. And who can fry it up in a pan.

I hear in my mind all these voices

Regina Spektor reminds me of warmer weather and Austin. I could use a little of both today.

something's been missing

I have had a sinking feeling that something is missing from my life. And I realized what it was today: Rachel, Rodger, Taylor and Brad. Bananas! When are you coming back to me???
